Under the “Student Entrepreneurship” project being realized by GEA – Center for Research and Studies, Competition for the best business plan has been closed.
In the interview by Mr. Ognjen Djukic for the tenth issue of Quarterly Economic Monitor (available at www.swot.ba) the main theme were problems regarding the public sector in B&H.
Under the slogan “Use the opportunity, make the first step and create a business plan”, the first in the series of “START UP” trainings took place at the Innovation Center Banja Luka, intended for unemployed persons who have a business idea and want to turn it into concrete business.

Representatives of Center for Research and Studies GEA and Norwegian-based organization Business Innovation Programs (BIP) have reached an agreement on cooperation and joint action for the next two years.
Within the project “European Cooperation Bridges for Occupational Health and Safety” (ECBOHS), the Western Balkans and Turkey Occupational Health and Safety Forum was held on November 29th 2012 in Ankara (Turkey).
Organized by the network of think tank organizations PASOS (Policy Association for an Open Society), annual assembly of the association was held in Skopje on November 10, 2012. For the first time, it was attended by a representative of the Center for Research and Studies GEA.
A survey in which students from the “I Have an Idea” program participated found that the lack of money, but also the lack of good business ideas, together with general disinterest for entrepreneurship, are the main reasons for which young people rarely decide to start their own business in B&H.
PASOS (Policy Association for an Open Society) network organized a two-day seminar that was held on October 11 and 12, 2012, in London. It was called: ”High Impact – A PASOS Communication Seminar”.
