Center for Research and Studies – GEA has started with implementation of new project. Strengthening the Capacity of Civil Society within the Budget Monitoring is EU funded project that will be implemented in partnership with CIN (Centar za istrazivacko novinarstvo) and Futura from Mostar.

The project overall is to contribute to the fight against corruption by enhancing fiscal transparency through the active involvement of civil society. Specifically, project has aim to:

• Improve the institutional and regulatory frameworks in order to ensure better fiscal transparency and accountability within public institution
• Enhance the capacities of civil society organizations (CSOs) active in the fight against corruption in Bosnia and Herzegovina to monitor and report and promote fiscal transparency and accountability.
• Promote cooperation and coordination among different stakeholders – government, the private sector and civil society – in Bosnia and Herzegovina on the issue of fiscal transparency with the aim to ensure coordinated activities against corruption

Project implementation period is 36 months
