With the motto “Your success begins with your idea”, a three-year project called Student Entrepreneurship has been initialized. It is being realized by the Center for Research and Studies GEA from Banjaluka and funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
In order to ensure cooperation with B&H universities, the Center for Research and Studies GEA has signed Cooperation Memorandums with the University of Banja Luka, University of Sarajevo and University of Mostar, which has symbolized the project’s beginning.
The project is open to all students from the mentioned universities who are interested in self-investment, in developing entrepreneurial spirit and starting their own business, regardless of their vocation.
Each year, within the project, they will be provided with expert assistance through practical school of entrepreneurship in Banjaluka, Sarajevo and Mostar, so they could transform their business ideas to concrete business plans as successfully as possible. The school will be led by prominent experts and recognized entrepreneurs, who will share their knowledge and experiences to students through workshops and practical educative modules.
Besides that, attendees will receive the Certificate of Participation in the School, while student teams or individuals will be able to candidate their business plans for financing. Namely, for 9 best and most perspective business plans, 36 000 USD will be awarded annually in total. Program participants will take part in Youth Business Forums, which will be organized each year to enable the exchange of experiences and ideas, as well as to connect representatives of the economy, education, governmental and non-governmental sectors and international organizations.
School of entrepreneurship starts at all three universities in the beginning of the second semester of the academic year 2011/2012 and will last for 16 days in total during the 3 months period.
