USPON – Successful Transformation of Women’s Positions in Rural Areas

The goal of this project is to ensure the employment or self-employment of at least 35 inactive or unemployed women aged 15 to 64 from the rural areas of the area covered by the Banja Luka branch of the RS Employment Agency, which is 13 local self-government units.

The planned duration of the project is from July 1, 2024 to October 31, 2025.

In addition to the Association GEA from Banja Luka, the following participate in the implementation of the project: “Employment Institute of the Republic of Srpska”, “Union of Employers of the Republic of Srpska”, “Center for Adult Education Banja Luka”, “Faculty of Agriculture” from Banja Luka, Ethno village “Čardaklije” from Bosanski Petrovac, “Sportek” d.o.o. from Kotor Varoš and “Dermal R” d.o.o. from Kotor Varoš.

The activities of this project are implemented within the framework of the EU4Employment project, financed by the European Union with 4 million euros, Sweden with 1 million euros, and implemented by the International Labor Organization in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Eu4Employment’s goal is to improve the socio-economic situation and living conditions in Bosnia and Herzegovina and is aimed at increasing employment opportunities for young people, women from rural areas, people with disabilities, Roma and long-term unemployed people, by combining grant programs and technical assistance.
